Presentation
Since the first European Championship organized by the International Inline Skater Hockey Federation (IISHF) in 1997, the European Champion in Inlineskaterhockey has been determined annually. Austria has been continuously represented by a national team since 2006 and has established itself as a consistent force in European inline hockey.
With the European Championships held in Stegersbach in 2009 and 2014, as well as the home championship in Amstetten in 2024, Austria has already hosted three major international events. The national team's greatest success came at its very first European Championship appearance in 2006, when it won the bronze medal. Another podium finish followed in 2021 with a bronze medal at the Nations Cup in Kyiv.
In recent years, the team has continued to impress with consistently strong performances. At the European Championships in 2018, 2019, and 2022 in Duisburg, as well as in 2024 in Amstetten, Austria narrowly missed another medal, finishing in fourth place on each occasion. The team repeated this result at the 2025 European Championship in Krefeld. Despite a difficult tournament, the players showed great character, fought their way back to secure fourth place, and once again demonstrated that they belong among Europe's elite.
Looking ahead to the upcoming European Championship, Austria will compete with an ambitious and well-balanced squad. Experienced national team players, together with promising young talents, form a competitive team that has prepared ntensively for the tournament over the past several months. The experiences gained in recent years have strengthened the team's unity and reinforced its determination to finally reward its continuous development with another medal.
The Austrian national team stands for commitment, team spirit, and passion. United by a strong sense of togetherness and a clear determination to prove itself at the highest international level, the team approaches the upcoming European championship with confidence and excitement—firmly focused on returning to the podium.

Denmark enters this year’s European Championships with a few changes to the player roster, but with the same strong and experienced team behind the squad. Historically, Denmark has often been the “eternal bronze medallist” - and last year was no exception. This year, however, the ambition is higher. With a solid core, renewed energy and great belief within the team, Denmark is determined to take the next step. The goal is clear: we believe this is the year Denmark can reach the final.

The BISHA GB Senior Team has proudly competed in the IISHF Senior European Championships for 22 years since 1997. Each year, the GB Senior Team has risen to the challenge, with us currently sitting 4th in the medals table, behind Germany, Switzerland and Denmark. In the 22 years that we have taken part, the team has secured a total of 8 podium finishes, including 4 Bronze medals, 3 Silver medals and 1 Gold medal.
Team GB’s success has been limited in the last 10 years, only claiming 2 bronze medals (2016 & 2018). As we look forward to this year’s Men's Championships in Rossemaison, Switzerland, we hope to emulate the historic victory by the GB Senior Team in 1997.
